Bluetooth Interface 4202 for MMI 3G from Audi. Upgrade now and listen to your favorite music.
This unique Bluetooth interface enables Plug n' Play retrofitting of a Bluetooth streaming function in your Audi MMI system. No activation or coding is required.
It can be connected to any Audi MMI 3G BASIC / MMI 3G / 3G HIGH (PLUS) System and is recognized by the MMI as a CD changer. Since the MMI 3G Systems can only manage one CD changer, an existing CD changer can no longer be used. Solution: Copy the CD's onto your smartphone and enjoy in the future the music on the CD changer via Bluetooth.
This interface can show the song information of the current track in the MMI display even without an AMI (Audi Music Interface) system. With this technology, it is not necessary that an additional AMI system has to be installed or that it already has to be present as a basis in the vehicle.
Of course, the Bluetooth source (Streaming Services such as Spotify and many others) can be controlled via the MMI System.
The Bluetooth source (e.g. Spotify) can also be controlled via the MMI system.
In addition, the interface offers an AUX-In function for other audio sources.

You can connect a variety of systems to the fiber optic circuit.

Are there any restrictions to be observed for the Bluetooth Interface 4202?
The Bluetooth interface 4202 for the MMI 3G system emulates a CD changer and is therefore identified as a CD changer by the MMI system. Since the MMI 3G system can only manage a single CD changer, any CD changer that may have been installed must be deactivated.
The Bluetooth interface 4202 can only be operated instead of a CD changer.
What should i choose? CD changer or Bluetooth Interface?
It's a matter of taste. For some, the CD changer is indispensable. They choose the CD changer. Others don't want to do without the new possibilities of Bluetooth and simply copy the CD's onto their smartphone or into the cloud and then have both functions.
