Important information

The identical radio model also exists with AMI. You can identify the AMI version by a part number ending in 193 instead of 192. Another identifier is the second button from the left: At the RNS-E without AMI, the button is labeled CD/TV. At the version with AMI, it reads MEDIA.

Installation

To install the Audi Navi Plus RNS-E, 1st generation, without AMI, only common tools are required. The original radio is held in place with spring-loaded retention clips. For removal, radio removal tools Radio removal tools are required. They are strongly recommended to avoid damage. A step-by-step installation manual is always included.

 

Connection options

The radio uses a Quadlock connector. The port for connecting the streaming box is the port of the external CD changerCD changer connector.
