The DAB+ Interface 4506 offers you many new stations, whether regional or national stations. And a lot of special interest channels. And you enjoy digital, crystal-clear and dynamic sound.
This interface has two separately working tuners (dual tuners) and has a permanent service following function. So if the reception quality of the station deteriorates, the interface searches in the background for a service with a stronger reception from this station. FM support is not possible.
The interface is compatible with the MIB systems MIB 1, MIB 2 and MIB 2.5. MIB stands for Modular Infotainment Kit. Learn more about compatibility below.
The included DAB+ window antenna can be used as an antenna. If you have already installed a DAB antenna at the factory, this can be used. The antenna does not require a separate power supply as it is powered via the interface.
By the way: Many customers install this interface almost invisibly, mostly in the trunk or in the area of the glove compartment. All connections are easy to reach there.

Additional information – The DAB+ radio station provides further information about the program or current short news. The Dynamic Label function provides this information.

Important traffic information – To give you a free ride, this interface can provide you with the current traffic information and interrupts the broadcast for this.

Twice the best reception – Service-Following means that in the background the interface is constantly looking for a stronger reception option for the selected station. If the interface finds a stronger station, it imperceptibly switches to this station. This interface uses two separate tuners for this.

In certain cases, yes. Please refer to the instructions on the tab Installation + Operation.
Can I code the interface myself?
Yes, we provide instructions. However, we strongly recommend having the coding carried out by a specialist. For them it usually takes a few minutes.
Can I use the buttons on the radio or the multifunction steering wheel to control the Interface?
Yes, to us for regulating the volume and for selecting the previous or the next track. You can find more details in the instruction guide.
Installation:
Do I need additional or special tools for installation?
You need the usual tools or electrical tools. Occasionally our removal tools are needed.
Are there instructions for installation?
In the menu item Installation examples you will find examples of different brands and vehicles for the installation of our products. Since the installation is often very similar, the various steps in the instructions can also be transferred to many other vehicles. We also offer you step-by-step installation instructions.
What can I do if the installation just doesn't work?
The very detailed and illustrated instructions are a great help. If you get stuck with this, please send us an email. In the vast majority of cases, we can resolve problems and questions at short notice by email.
